Chicago Sky standout Angel Reese is continuing to broaden her presence off the basketball court with a major business decision this offseason. Known not just for her play in the WNBA but also for her influence in fashion — including a runway appearance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show — Reese is now adding another investment to her portfolio.
According to reporting by Business of Fashion, Reese has invested in the rapidly growing skincare brand Topicals, joining Nigerian artist Rema and other prominent figures from sports and entertainment in the company’s latest funding round.
Topicals’ founder and CEO, Olamide Olowe, explained that the brand specifically wanted investors who use and genuinely support the products. Olowe noted that cultural leaders like Reese can help shift perceptions around Black-owned businesses, especially at a time when many traditional investors are scaling back.
Topicals, which has raised more than $22.6 million since launching in 2020, is best known for products like its under-eye masks and serums that focus on issues like dark spots and hyperpigmentation.
This isn’t Reese’s first venture into the beauty world — she has also served as a brand ambassador for Mielle Organics, a deal that features her in promotions, events, and a special product bundle tied to her influence.
On the court, Reese recently finished her second WNBA season with strong all-around numbers, averaging 14.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 45.8% from the field.
